Stage 1 of Kings Park boasts a 155 lot residential subdivision in Oakey, just outside of Toowoomba, Queensland. Arcos was engaged by an ambitious developer whose mission was to efficiently and quickly deliver affordable housing to the fast growing region. Arcos was directly involved with the subdivision layout in order to seamlessly integrate the civil engineering aspects of land development. Stormwater conveyance, flooding, traffic management, sewer and water servicing, and surrounding future developments were all critical inputs to landing on the final layout.

In addition to high level planning, as the Civil Engineer, Arcos worked closely with the developer to produce the RAL and OPW ‘for construction’ drawings for the site, in a way that maximised lot yield and minimised upfront expense. Finally, as the Geotechnical Engineer, Arcos was able to provide significant efficiencies to both the developer and builder by identifying rocky areas ahead of design, and inspecting fill material early to expedite the site classification process.
