The QEII Hospital Expansion will boost capacity with 112 new beds and upgrades to outpatient services, medical imaging, medical records, and maintenance facilities. A new multi-storey car park will also provide 1,379 additional spaces over eight levels.

Arcos has completed geotechnical investigations for various components of the expansion works including library relocation; new HV building; new multi-storey clinical services building; multi-storey car park; and the new at-grade western car park.

Arcos Group also provided geotechnical assessments and construction inspections including design of temporary piling platforms; footing excavation inspections; cut soil and rock batter stability; and mobile heavy crane setups.

The project highlights Arcos Group’s ability to deliver cost effective geotechnical investigations and targeted advice to inform project design, and provide practical, responsive, and technically-sound onsite inspection advice and solutions for the building contractor.
